Canon EF 24-70mm

I think this camera is going to be popular due to the price is in a range that it is affordable and the 21megpix is well just WOW. I have a 1D Mark II and I love it and I am thinking of getting this camera to make the jump all the way into the digital age. I think Canon is looking at the semi-pro / amateur and time will tell as to how it does.......

I think you are right, the 5D Mk II does it takes a full frame(d)SLR and brings it to the market at an affordable price.

I own this camera< The 5D MkII It is an awesome camera. with room for cropping, and capable of taking pictures that are beyond what I can do. It feels like a camera from the film days. Seems well built and tough. I also have a 40d . It also takes great pictures. The 40d seems great for telephoto and the 5d MkII even better for wide angle . It takes allot of cropping to see an actual difference between the two cameras, but there is a considerable difference as you blow up the picture to extreme sizes . The HD video is kind of an added extra feature.

Matt The HD on the 5D Mark II is mind blowing. I've used it on 5 projects now and thanks to the great selection of lens you have I can get shots you normally can't get with any of the prosumer video cameras currently out. If it's good enough to use on pick up shots for Iron Man 2 it should be good enough for any music video or TV spots. Just make sure you have a beefy computer to edit the footage. Oh and it takes some pretty good pictures also!
